King Christian School

The Holland Marsh District Christian School, originally constructed in 1943, launched a $4 million fundraising campaign termed "Building Upon a Legacy". The result was a new 15 acre property and the 30,000 square foot King Christian School. OCA Architects worked with the faculty, students and stakeholders to design the new environmentally-friendly school with modern conveniences. TiltWall Ontario was brought in to complete the tilt-up construction utilizing Versa-Brix® S formliners and Summitville® tiles from Architectural Polymers.

OCA Architects followed the conventional design of many schools in Ontario, Canada and specified a brick facade for the new school. Tilt-up panels were selected because they offered a more cost-effective, energy-efficient, fire-resistant and environmentally-friendly alternative over traditional brick.
