Half Moon Bay Elementary School

Project Details

Half Moon Bay Public School is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 Early French Immersion school, nestled beside the Jock River in the Half Moon Bay community. This project, the first tilt-up concrete school in the Ottawa-Carleton School District, won a Tilt-Up Achievement Award in 2017 for its illustration of variety, beauty, and flexibility of tilt-up construction. The architects designed the building with concrete as an element, using form liners and patterns to generate shadows and unique, diverse textures on long elevations to create a curious, playful environment, perfect for elementary school students.
